Job Description
Tenax Connect is seeking a skilled, seasoned Field Technician to handle the installation,
configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure and security systems in your Area in
the radius of 150kms. This position offers high flexibility, making it ideal for independent
contractors or technicians looking to supplement their current workload.
Key Responsibilities
Surveillance Systems: Install and configure wired and wireless IP cameras.
Networking Infrastructure: Deploy Wi-Fi access points, P2P (Point-to-Point) wireless bridges, and structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6).
Signal Enhancement: Install and optimize cellphone signal boosters.
Hardware Integration: Assemble and dress equipment racks, patch panels, and network switches.
Field Deployment: Travel to various commercial and residential client sites throughout the province.
Requirements
Business Infrastructure: Must possess active WCB Alberta coverage and valid
Commercial General Liability (CGL) insurance.
Mobility: Valid driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle capable of transporting
equipment and ladders.
Tools of the Trade: Must own standard hand/power tools and telecom testing equipment
(drills, termination tools, testers, fiber glass ladders).
Technical Expertise: Proven experience in low-voltage cabling, networking
fundamentals, and hardware mounting.
Soft Skills: Ability to work independently, troubleshoot on-site, and maintain a
professional demeanor with clients.
